Allied Gardens is named for Allied Contractors, the development company founded by Louis L. Kelton and Walter Bollenbacher, who bought 1,000 acres from the old Waring estate and began building here in 1955.

The neighborhood was built for the wave of young families and returning veterans settling in San Diego after World War II, and it’s stayed almost entirely single-family ever since — mostly Ranch and split-level homes from the late 1950s through early 1970s.

We repair appliances throughout Allied Gardens’ original postwar homes as well as any updated kitchens and laundry rooms. Every repair comes with a 90-day parts and labor warranty, and the $99 diagnostic fee is waived once you approve the work.
